Summary:

IRON SWORD served as the full project life cycle Project Executive for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals on its North Campus Expansion in Mount Pleasant, NY, and delivered the project on time and under budget with the minimal contingency spend attributable to discretionary owner changes. The new cutting-edge complex provides the creative and healthy work environment necessary to turn "science into medicine" through additional research, office, presentation and parking facilities.

Details:

The project entailed design and construction of two separate wings totaling 300,000 rsf, connecting elevated and enclosed walkways, a 758-car parking garage with 547.2kW solar array, a separate Innovation Center (the “Nucleus”), and supportive infrastructure including site utilities, walkways, roadways, parking lots, landscape, and powerhouse upgrades. Furthering Regeneron Pharmaceuticals’ success in responsibly bringing economic growth to the region, the expanded facilities was designed to accommodate several hundred new employees and surpassed its LEED Silver goal when it was certified LEED Gold in March 2016.

As Project Executive, Iron Sword was responsible for coordination of design and construction activities between the Core & Shell and Tenant Improvements; negotiation and contract development for designers, consultants, and the CM; budget development and management; and overall project management and delivery.
